THIS WORKSHOP IS HOSTED  IN STUDIO  at Sanctuary VIRTUAL OPTION available for out of town students (contact us for details)    This foundational anatomy training is designed for yoga teachers and  experienced students who want to deepen their understanding of structural anatomy. The weekend includes interactive anatomy sessions  led by Sonje Mayo and asana exploration labs led by Daphne Larkin. In  the anatomy sessions, you’ll develop an understanding of the major  structures of the body and key movements. These interactive sessions  will provide hands-on opportunities to understand how the body moves and  how to stay safe. The yoga posture labs will be guided explorations  that will provide a deeper understanding of pose alignment and teaching  cues that support stability and growth in our yoga practice.

In this session, we’ll explore teaching cues and sequences  that support proper alignment of the hip, knee, ankle and spine in a  vinyasa practice. The practice will be workshop style with practical  application of anatomy principles learned in the previous lectures.

Anatomy Posture Lab - Shoulders/Neck/Arms  with Daphne Larkin

In this session, we’ll explore teaching cues and sequences  that support proper alignment of the shoulder girdle, neck, wrist and  hand in a vinyasa practice. The practice will be workshop style with  practical application of anatomy principles learned in the previous  lectures. Learning proper support of the upper body is crucial for a  vinyasa style practice.
