Abiding by the Greek origin of her name - meaning "honeybee" - Melissa buzzed around the yoga world for ten years before she was bitten by the proverbial vinyasa bug. In 2011, she completed Tom and Daphne Larkin's esteemed 200 hour program at Sanctuary for Yoga in Nashville, Tennessee and immediately started teaching in and around the Nashville vicinity.
Through a rigorous teaching schedule and dedicated self study, Melissa vows to create a yoga practice and community that firmly entrenches itself in inclusivity, never exclusivity. A 2013 Curvy Yoga certification, along with semi-annual yoga excursions to New York City to study at Dharma Yoga Center and Jivamukti Yoga help Melissa adhere to her satya, or truth: yoga benefits everybody. Every. Body.
