About the event

Restorative Yoga Teacher Training with Susi Willis

November 8 - 10, 2024

Experience and learn both the foundational and the subtle layers  necessary to support and create a container for a Restorative Yoga  practice. Explore different poses, supportive props and pranayama  choices that assist in activating the parasympathetic nervous  system-which is essential for rest. Step away from this weekend with  both the science and the artful components necessary to facilitate  teaching transformative Restorative Yoga classes. Bring your questions  and curiosity as we learn and practice together.

Together we will:

     · Experience 3 different Restorative Yoga practices at the end of each day

      · Create a shared knowledge of what a Restorative Yoga pose/class is and isn’t

      · Why Restorative Yoga is important and what it is in service of

      · Learn how to teach Restorative Yoga for a classroom of students that may have varied needs

      · Basic understanding of how to activate the parasympathetic nervous  system, what the parasympathetic nervous system is and its role in rest

      · Experiencing and practicing how to set up Restorative Yoga poses,  using different types of props and why you would use the props in  different ways dependent on your student’s needs

      · The essentiality of teaching from a restorative practice embodiment

      · Pranayama Practices that support Restorative Yoga poses and classes

      · Learn the science behind mindfulness practices and how using this science supports Restorative Yoga

      · Learning about the subtle energetics necessary to create a classroom as a Restorative Yoga container
