Join Daphne and Tom in the heart of Tuscany Italy for an amazing week of yoga and the passions of the beautiful Italian countryside. The week's exploration will be centered around discovering and reconnecting to our passions. Through daily yoga, meditation, beautiful surroundings, lovingly-prepared food, and the luxury of time to explore new sights, tastes and experiences, we will step away from our hectic lives and enjoy the rasa of living passionately.
The Daily Flow
Each day will greet you with a yoga practice focused on enhancing the passion for life in our minds, bodies and souls as a way to connect with the lush surroundings. After breakfast the day is yours to immerse yourself in what Tuscany has to offer through planned day trips and ample free time. Following the daily activities and relaxation, a gentle flow class will round out our daily adventures. Please note, some activities incur an additional charge.
- Begin and end the day with passion enhancing yoga practices
- Day Trips to local medieval towns including Montereggioni, Siena, Florence and more
- Day Trips to other vineyards for wine tastings or the nearby beaches and hot springs
- Indulge in horseback riding, mountain biking or leisurely strolls through the forested hillside
- Learn the culinary secrets of Italian Master Chefs in specialty cooking classes
The Retreat Center
This 7-day all inclusive retreat will be hosted at Ebbio, a romantic 800 year old farmhouse now converted into a stunning yoga retreat center. Ebbio is a magical place nestled in the heart of an old volcano that was sacred to the Etruscans. Located in the breathtaking countryside of Tuscany, Italy, it is only 26 miles from Florence, 7 miles from Siena, 6 miles from Castellina in Chianti and 1/2 mile from Monteriggioni, a little medieval jewel. The ambience of Ebbio is truly a one-of-a-kind experience. Looking out one of the many windows of the different accommodations in Ebbio, you will be captivated by the undulating hills swept with thriving vineyards, olive trees and enchanting evergreen forests. The amazing part of Ebbio is that it is still a working, organic Tuscan farm with its own Chianti wine production.
Buon Appetito (Enjoy the Food)
The retreat includes mostly organic, vegetarian breakfasts and dinners each day, which are lovingly prepared by the property owner himself. Unless otherwise mentioned in the daily activities, lunches are open to explore your own tastes around Tuscany. Water and seasonal fruit is available throughout the day. Ebbio's own Chianti is served with dinner.
Accommodations
The essence of Ebbio is relaxed, casual, natural and agrarian, but by no means unsophisticated. The accommodations are in shared rooms with shared baths generally between two bedrooms. Single occupancy available.
Travel
Airfare is not included. Amy Hooper of TravelAmy (615-292-2478 or travelamy.com) can assist you with travel arrangements to/from the US to Italy or with plans to extend your stay.
Pick-up Times on arrival day - Sunday, July 18, 2010:
- Florence Airport (Amerigo Vespucci - code FLR) at 1:00pm
- Sienna Train Station at 4:00pm
Cancellation Policy
ALL DEPOSITS ARE NON-REFUNDABLE
If you cancel before June 6, 2010, deposit will be transferred to a future retreat/workshop/credit at Sanctuary and your balance will be returned to you. For cancellations after June 6, 2010, your entire balance less deposit will be transferred to a future retreat /workshop/credit at Sanctuary. For cancellations within 2 weeks (July 4, 2010) of the retreat forfeit your entire balance.
